Like it or not sometimes, you are role model for kids. They will eat as you talk like you, and do almost anything that you - until they are teenagers, when they will want to do exactly the opposite! With that in mind, understand that your children will pick up their health habits from you, too. If they see you on the couch with a bag of chips on his lap like, they tend to do it yourself. If they see that you're exercising, they want to be involved. Finding ways to get kids in your home workouts can be a little difficult and a little challenging, but with a little effort, anyone can get a good workout!

Take a Walk

With infants, this is a great way for you to get a workout. Strap that baby in a backpack and take a quick walk. With toddlers, it becomes a bit more complicated, but you will find inventive ways to get them in a stroller, so you can still get a good ride in. When the children get a little older, they will want to go with you, and this will slow you down. But you can get involved them in the process of planning the route.

Play a Sport

Get the kids out to play basketball in the driveway. Throwing baseball in the backyard. Jump rope with your children. Learning a new sport with them. Learn to throw a lacrosse ball or go to the local tennis court and hit the ball around. You do not need to have a structured game to get the benefits of exercise.

DVD

If you have a favorite workout DVD, get the kids to be with you. Instead of working out while the child is at school, wait until they come home. Make it a part of the afternoon or evening routine, with homework and music practice.

Support your child's interest in sports

If your daughter wants to play football, that takes an enormous time commitment from parents. But it is a great way to show her that her fitness and activities is important to everyone. A great way to use the hours, while she is practicing is to take a walk around the soccer park. Get some other parents involved, and perhaps you also get some new friends!

Teaching kids to build fitness into their daily lives is a great gift for them. Demonstrate how to live a healthy, active lifestyle can help keep everyone in shape.

Not only it helps keep the whole family in shape, but it is a great way to build family bonds and build relationships between siblings or parents and children. There is no interaction with the TV, but when you get out and walk, play sports or games and do other activities you want to build on your relationship in great ways. This will also be a great way to see what kind of activities children are interested in. You may be surprised that they like other things as you thought.
