Maclaren, a British major stroller manufacturer expects to recall 1 million walkers. It has been said that all Maclaren cars which has been sold since 1999 are included in the recall. Although the official announcement is set for Tuesday, began November 10, 2009, Maclaren inform dealers of the recall in the last days and a letter went out to the retailers has confirmed that this is true.
According to the New York Daily News, Maclaren makes recall voluntarily. This is based on the concerns and events that children can get his fingers cut off in the hinge of the carrier. In fact, there have been 12 cases where children had their fingers amputated after they were caught in the hinges while the carriage is opened or closed.
It affected the hinges can be found on the sides of cars and the events have taken place when children are in cars and while they are already in place.
Maclaren said to have plans to send the pram holders protective covers for the hinges. Maclaren will provide cover through its website and a dedicated phone line for this purpose will be opened. When the recall goes public officially on Tuesday, the parents begin to order the cover through the website or phone line.
It is recommended that parents who own a Maclaren stroller would stop using it before they have Maclaren stroller repaired. The company with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission will give its customers and retailers a free repair kit that can be used to install and covers hinges. Wait until you have the cover installed before you can let your kids use the Maclaren wagon again.
Maclaren and a spokesman for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission will soon be officially announcing the product recall by Maclaren Tuesday with all the information and answers that everyone needs.

As they carry the babies and children, it is expected that these products must be made with good quality with comfort and safety of the child in mind.
