Car Seats Strollers
What do you do about car seats and vehicles when traveling?
I think to pack up the car seat and check it in. So take an umbrella stroller on board. The problem is to pull the car seat around with the rest of my luggage plus baby! Is there a better solution? I travel with my 20-month-old toddler. Thank you!
This sounds like Deja Vu! I flew in May when my daughter was 19 months old and I had to think about all this too. Here's what we did and it worked well! We checked her luggage with all the other cases because we do not need it on the plane. She sat on our laps, we did not buy his own seat. Is your toddler in their own seat? If yes, then they must sit in the carseat. But at the end of each flight, I would ask the stewardess if they are able to transport the seat to the connecting flight aircraft, that way, when you arrive at the gate to board the plane, it's there and you just need to install it. I would think that they could easily do it! The move luggage to associate fly anyway! As for the wagon, I brought my normal full-size wagon because it was more comfortable for my daughter so she could lay back and sleep. When you check In explaining to them that you have to "gate check" your pram. They will give you a code to put on the stroller so that you / they can identify it. When you go to board the plane, you just take out your toddler, divide up the stroller and leave it there. They take it and store it in a separate department under the plane. When you land, they automatically bring the stroller out as the moment you get off the plane that you connect at a time, it's right there! It was so easy and hassle to fly that way. I know you do not ask about this ... but here are some other flying tips that worked for me. I went to the dollar Store and bought cheap little toys and things and I would not let my daughter watch it until the day ofthe flight, so it was something new for her to play with. Also, if you have a portable DVD player, I recommend that you take it. My daughter sat on our laps and seen her films Most of the flights. Good luck flying!
