The latest trend in infant carrying around is actually a throwback to the more ancient. Baby slings do protect the child as well because the sling is wrapped around the child, is the biggest thrill at the edges of the cloth, causing the bundle to "hug" the child and prevent them from spilling out and damaged themselves.
Baby slings are an adaptation of an ancient and time-tested technology that has important health benefits and psychological benefits. Both parents and children seem to benefit of this return to old ways of childcare. The better construction of baby slings also ensures the safety of the child, and since they are simple pieces of cloth, cleaning a dirty one is much lighter than other operators.
